Friday June 18, 2010 Wayne Industries will host the Annual Employee Picnic
for individuals recieving services at Wayne Industries. The lunch menu will be Ham Salad;Chicken Salad; baked beans; chips;
ice cream from Linda Browns and soda/water from All American Vending in Greenville. There will be a variety of activities
that will include:wheelchairs races;water balloon toss; scavenger hunt; kick ball and dancing.

DARKE COUNTY UNITED WAY DONATION The
Wayne Industries Consumer Council, representing Wayne Industries, presented Lauren Henry of Darke County United Way a check
for $2,826.78 from fundraising throughout the year.
Fun Friday Friday November 20, 2009 was an
exciting day at Wayne Industries. The first annual OSU vs. Michigan tail gate party was held. Many fun activities as well
as fund raising for Darke County United Way happened.
As a leisure activity the individuals in the Adult Training Component have
been very creative in designing polymer clay "bead bracelets." This has been developed to be a self sustaining activity.
Bracelets can be made with "custom" designs and colors. The cost is $4.00. PLease contact Beth Jennings or Jeff

The Wayne Hospital Foundation presented the Wayne Industries facility an AED device
on June 11, 2009. Thank you for making Wayne Industries an even more safe place to be.
Wayne Industries and Darke County Special Olympics Softball diamond received a
donation of 5 trees on April 22, 2009. Sally Futrell graciously gave these 5 trees after personally selecting them to fit
the needs of the Softball diamond area. This is a beautiful addition to this area and will provide much needed shade. Thank
you Sally Futrell and family.
These are some of the Fun activities that are happening at Wayne Industries!
Wayne Industries consumers will now have an opportunity to participate
in a FISHING CLUB. With the assistance of John Winger, individuals will have the opportunity to learn how to safely fish.
Sessions of trainings with specific techniques as well as actual fishing at Wayne Lakes will be available from April 23, 2009
until the end of summer 2009. Thank you John for sharing your time and skills in fishing.

October was International Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) Month. At Wayne Industries Sue Hankins with
the support of Tammy Paulus, presented her story to her peers and staff. Sue uses a communication device, a MERCURY, that
allows her to be a verbal communicator. Sue has this work posted on a website along with many other individuals. Please use

AAC Awareness

In collaboration with Goodwill / Easter Seals, the Adult Program will now have
a "Computer Lab" for new training opportunities.
Consumers learned how to vote using the new electronic ballot machines.
Darke County Special Olympics Softball diamond is completed. Games have
been played and the new facility is GREAT! Thank you to all of the supporters in the community.
